The Stoop

In 2013, three years after sharing my first story, I started a show called The Stoop, because that’s where I know I learned to tell stories in the style that I tell stories.
The Stoop is my way of finding the other Lily Be’s out there, the other teen moms, the other less palatable brown women, the poor, the disenfranchised, the people who have no idea that a platform for their voice exists.

I want to Feature YOU!!

When I started the Stoop, it was mainly to to find and feature all the other Lily Be’s in the world. Meaning, that I want to find all the people in the world that have made themselves small because of all the “big” people in the world have told them that they are not enough for reasons that they have convinced themselves are true. The people that have checked out, given up, lost hope, stopped believing and don’t care. The people who other people have convinced don’t matter, aren’t enough, don’t fit in, and have nothing to offer. I want to The Stoop to be the place that CELEBRATES that you have lived a life that is worthy of sharing. I want you to come to The Stoop and know that your imperfect, problematic, less than ideal life is far more valuable to the world than the one you think the world wants you to share. If any of this speaks to you, I want you to click the submit button and get in touch with me. I will feature ANYONE that this resonates with because if it does, really, what do you have to lose?
